I have anxiety attacks: Recently, two times I smelled right b-4 chemical type of attack !!!!!?
I can not describe the smell like a chemical smell, but almost no alcohol odor type sterile. I was working on the computer, then I felt something funny and had a rush of panic set in I was numb, weak, trembling and my heart was pounding (All typical symptoms of anxiety) with the exception, the intense smell ……… What happened? It was certainly not coming from inside my office and no one was sitting around me. Did my brain release something or what ……. also what does that mean ….. Is this serious? …… Can it happen again. Is this a sign of something unrelated to my Panic Attacks? Please let me know ASAP. I take Lexapro and Valium casual. TY CARLA
I've never heard of smell is associated with a panic attack before. I would call the Dr. that prescribed these drugs for you and see what they say. Also, if your already on Lexapro and having your anxiety, so that your panic attacks so I think your med is not working for you. There are several drugs on the market that do the same LexPro thing. Sometimes drugs are given as the right has a few adjustments.
